Without a doubt, the senior thesis project was one of the most challenging tasks I've had to complete to the date. Time management was critical, and learning how to apply brand new knowledge on current design problems was the order of the day. However, it was also one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Not only did it help me improve my skills to express my design ideas, but it taught me the impact of my design decisions on other disciplines. I also learned that there are many different ways to solve the same problem; one just needs to step back and see the big picture before one modifies his/her approach to solve the problem. I will take all of these revelations and skill development with me, in hopes of applying these in my everyday work in order to become a better, more conscientious lighting designer.
