SUNY Potsdam Performing Arts Center

About the SUNY Potsdam     Performing Arts Center

The Performing Arts Center at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Potsdam is a live music venue, home to the Department of Theatre and Dance, as well as a performance venue for the Crane School of Music. The building’s space break-up and layout meets two main programmatic needs: performance venues and academic facilities. In terms of performance venues, the project layout includes: a 350-seat proscenium theater, a 200-seat black-box theater, a 200-seat aerial dance theater, and reception spaces. To meet the academic facility needs, the building has spaces such as: movement studios, digital audio studios, design/drafting labs, lighting labs, a café, faculty offices, and meeting rooms.
